Aims and intentions
When it comes to the
representation of my work, the aim of magazine it targeted towards 16-21 year
old Muslim female women. The main reason for such feature is due to the age
gap. Between these ages, Muslim women and girls tend to start beginning to embrace
their identity, as well as facing new approaches as they grow up. The ideology
behind such features within my magazine is to help promote their identity, as
well as being diverse with every Muslim women of race and culture. For example,
each kid-en-scenes of Muslim women always represents them dressed up modestly,
but having their own unique taste with how they design and personalise their outfits.
The magazine will help develop my cross-media platform, as it will gain more
interest for it to be available within other media platforms, such as social
media apps. The reason for it is of how this specific target audience is
nowadays selves with social media itself, giving support out at certain things
that appeals them the most.
Now when it comes to the mis-en-scenes
itself, I had to make sure that the shot would capture, not only the headshot
(as traditional magazines would mostly do) but also the posture and composure
of the body. The camera angles had to get a head and torso shot of the whole
person itself, since the main aim and focus of the magazine is about these
inspired fashion as a whole. The colour schemes also vary for both editions.
E.g. the summer version focuses more on summer and urban design, as summertime showcases
the modern urban outwear. This is to help gain attention for my target
audience, as summer time is mostly a struggle for some Muslim women, due to
them trying to cover themselves up during the heatwaves. The cover for the
summer edition will help to gain an interest with my target audience, as well
as giving them a sense of encouragement. Also, the colour schemes are a key
factor that will help appeal more towards the target audience. E.g. the winter
edition contains mainly of warm shades of beige's and greens, both being well
matched and composed to juxtapose the cold season.
In order to digitally
converge my magazine products, social media platforms will help showcase the
product, as well as certain hashtags used to be easily accessible to find. In
order to starchy it out more, it can also be advertised on certain websites
that will sponsor it (though this takes may be broad to achieve).
